Speaking at the Houston iPhone Developer’s Meetup Dec. 15

It has been quite a while since I’ve posted on my blog (too long). I was out of town on business for several weeks during the late Spring and over the Summer so making time for the blog was difficult.

I wanted to let anyone who might be interested know that I will be speaking at the Houston iPhone Developer’s Meetup on December 15. The topic will be Core Data (obviously on the iPhone OS). The talk will be an introduction covering configuration of the store, querying, updating, migration, and the iPhone specific functionality not available on the desktop OS.

Hope to see you there.

    Hiya Darren,

Are you the same Darren that use to work out at BP? Just curious. I have a friend who has a wonderful iPhone App idea and is so sure that it will make a ton of money that he wants to work with a developer to get it up and running and work out some type of deal to where if it does make money, the developer would pretty much be paid out the nose. I’m thinking start ups during the dot com days when the companies went big or got bought by some big corp.

Would the iPhone Developer Meetups be a good place to find a developer for this?

Yes, I’m the same Darren that worked out at BP. The iphone dev meetup is pretty good for finding a developer. It just depends on the month, sometimes there are more folks just starting and other months there are many devs with a great deal of experience.

You can send me an email if you want to talk about the app.
